Reimagining a Lost Armenian Home: The Dildilian Photography Collection by Armen T. Marsoobian, I.B. Tauris & co., 2017.
The Dildilians were an Armenian family who in the 1880s began practicing photography in Sivas, and subsequently in Marzifon and Samsun. During the Armenian genocide, they stayed in Anatolia and were able to photograph their experience. They continued photographing on their way to and in Greece and later the US. This book of more than 300 images gives a comprehensive view of the Dildilian’s photographic practice and journey and is compiled by a descendant of the family.
